President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (12/10) launched the Electronic Catalog Version 6.0 at the State Palace, Jakarta.
The launching of the latest version of e-catalog is part of the Government’s efforts to achieve clean governance through digitalization.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the working groups that have been operating under the coordination of the Chairperson of the National Economic Council, which today organized the launching of the Electronic Catalog Version 6.0. This measure aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and speed,” the President said.
The President emphasized that starting January 1, 2025, all Ministries, Agencies, and Regional Governments must use the Electronic Catalog Version 6.0. According to the President, the utilization of this new e-catalog is expected to improve efficiency in Government procurement of goods and services.
“This catalog is expected to reduce procurement costs by 20 to 30 percent and administrative costs by 40 to 50 percent,” the President said.
The President also pointed out that efficiency remains a challenge for Indonesia, compared to the neighboring countries. This is reflected in Indonesia’s Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR), which stands at 6, higher than neighboring countries which is at 4 or 5.
“This means we are considered less efficient than some of our neighboring economies. In fact, this inefficiency is estimated to be as high as 30 percent,” the President stated.
The President expressed hope that the implementation of the Electronic Catalog Version 6.0 will enhance efficiency in the Government procurement of goods and services. He also urged all stakeholders to work together in supporting efforts to achieve clean and transparent governance.
“Let us realize clean governance through all measures, including proper management, good leadership at all levels, and the utilization of technology. Ultimately, we must also dare to uphold the law,” the President remarked. (TGH/DNS) (RI/MUR)
