President Prabowo Subianto Monday (10/21) issued Presidential Regulation Number 139 of 2024 on the Arrangement of Duties and Functions of State Ministries in the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024-2029 period.
The Presidential Regulation states that the state ministries in the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024-2029 period consist of 48 ministries, as follows:
- Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs;
- Coordinating Ministry for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Affairs;
- Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs;
- Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs;
- Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Region’s Development;
- Coordinating Ministry for People’s Empowerment;
- Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs;
- Ministry of State Secretariat;
- Ministry of Home Affairs;
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
- Ministry of Defense;
- Ministry of Religious Affairs;
- Ministry of Law;
- Ministry of Human Rights;

f. Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI);

“Other institutions mentioned are coordinated by Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs in carrying out tasks and functions related to political and security issues,” as stated in the Presidential Regulation.
Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Affairs coordinates the following institutions:
a. Ministry of Law;
b. Ministry of Human Rights;
c. Ministry of Immigration and Corrections;
d. other agencies as deemed necessary.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs coordinates the following institutions:
a. Ministry of Manpower;

Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Region’s Development coordinates the following institutions:

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs coordinates the following institutions:
a. Ministry of Agriculture;
b. Ministry of Forestry;
c. Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries;
d. Ministry of the Environment/Environment Control Agency;
e. National Food Agency;
f. National Nutrition Agency;
g. other agencies as deemed necessary.
Based on Presidential Regulation Number 139 of 2024, President Prabowo Subianto also dissolved Cabinet Secretariat.
“Furthermore, the execution of the duties and functions of the Cabinet Secretariat shall be integrated into the ministry responsible for managing government affairs pertaining to the state secretariat,” as stipulated in the Presidential Regulation.
In the transitional provisions, it is stipulated that all personnel occupying positions in accordance with their job nomenclature within the ministries and institutions shall continue to perform their duties and functions until such duties and functions are re-regulated pursuant to the presidential regulation concerning the organization and work procedures of each ministry and institution.
“The organizational structure of ministries and institutions, as referred to in this Presidential Regulation, must be finalized no later than December 31, 2024,” reads Presidential Regulation Number 139 of 2024, which is in effect from the date of its promulgation in Jakarta on October 21, 2024.
