President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo inaugurated the State Palace in Nusantara Capital, East Kalimantan province, Friday (10/11).
“This afternoon we will together inaugurate the State Palace in the Nusantara Capital,” said the President.
President Jokowi was scheduled to inaugurate the State Palace and the Garuda Palace simultaneously. However, as the Garuda Palace is still in the process of being completed, the State Palace will be inaugurated first.
“As the Garuda Palace currently is still in the finishing process that is likely to take one month ahead, today I will inaugurate the State Palace first. And later the Garuda Palace will be inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto,” he said.
Before the inauguration, the State Palace Certificate was first handed over by Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono to Minister of State Secretary Pratikno. The State Palace Certificate is registered as the Right-of-Use Certificate number 11 with the electronic registration number No. 1484 in the name of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.
“And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon I hereby inaugurate the State Palace in Nusantara Capital,” said the President when inaugurating the State Palace.
The inauguration was attended by Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly Ahmad Muzani, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning Agency Suharso Monoarfa, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Investment Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Acting Governor of East Kalimantan Akmal Malik, Chief Editor of Kompas Daily Sutta Dharmasaputra, President Director of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (state-owned housing company) Novel Arsyad, President Director of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (state-owned construction company) Agung Budi Waskito, and Designer of the Garuda Palace and the State Palace of Nusantara Capital I Nyoman Nuarta.
