President Joko Widodo Monday (07/01) bestowed the honorary Bhayangkara Nararya Star on three Indonesian National Police officers at the ceremony commemorating the 78th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Police or Bhayangkara Day at the Merdeka Square of the National Monument, Jakarta, Monday (07/01).
The bestowal was carried out based on Presidential Decree Number 59/TK of 2024 on the Bestowal of the Honorary Bhayangkara Nararya Star, which was signed by President of the Republic of Indonesia on June 14, 2024.
The honorary star is bestowed “as a tribute to officers of the Indonesian National Police who have rendered great service with extraordinary courage, wisdom and fortitude beyond the call of duty, to the progress and development of the police, or have been faultless while serving in the police,” reads the Presidential Decree which was read out by the President’s Military Secretary Major General Rudy Saladin.
The three Indonesian National Police officers who received the honorary star are:
- Police Chief Commissioner Dedi Murti Haryadi, from the Corps of the Indonesian National Police Leaders’ Personal Staff;
- Deputy Police Commissioner Tati Rusmiati, from West Java Regional Police’s internal affairs department; and
- Deputy Police Inspector Dwi Kuntoro, from the Indonesian National Police’s Mobile Brigade.
Also present on this event were First Lady Iriana Jokowi, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin along with Mrs. Wury Ma’ruf Amin, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Commander of the Indonesian Defense Forces General Agus Subiyanto.
This event was also attended by the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, wife of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Mrs. Sinta Nuriyah Abdurrahman Wahid, heads of state high institutions, as well as ambassadors from friendly countries.
