President Prabowo Subianto met with the Hajj Task Force of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives at Merdeka Palace on Tuesday (1/7).
During the meeting, the task force presented a report on the decision related to the 2025 hajj organization such as the reduced hajj cost for the pilgrims and the value of benefits.
“Compared to last year, the hajj cost has lowered by more than Rp4 million and the hajj cost borne by the pilgrims is also reduced by about Rp600,000. Meanwhile, the value of benefits is reduced from Rp8 trillion to Rp6.8 trillion,” Chairperson of Commission VIII Marwan Dasopang stated after the meeting.
According to the Chairperson, President Prabowo expressed his hope that the hajj cost can be lowered even further. Marwan underscored that the directives will be taken into account in the study of the next hajj organization as the decision has been made for this period.
For this year’s hajj organization, Commission VIII is committed to strictly overseeing all aspects of the hajj organization, including ensuring that the pilgrims’ rights are fulfilled so that the hajj can proceed smoothly according to plan. He said that the supervision will be directly led by Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco.
“The organization of this year’s hajj will be directly supervised by the House of Representatives’ Leader Prof. Dr. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. For us, this gives us great strength.
