President Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (05/06) received Letters of Credence from eight new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.
During the credential ceremony, the ambassadors affirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral ties with Indonesia across various sectors.
Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador Luis Guillermo Arellano Jibaja highlighted the significance of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ecuador and Indonesia this year. He also expressed optimism that both countries will increase their cooperation.
“This year marks 45 years of diplomatic relations between Ecuador and Indonesia. In this context, we are eager to strengthen our partnership across multiple sectors through reciprocal collaborations,” Ambassador Arellano said.
Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Enrique Antonio Acuña Mendoza expressed his gratitude for the hospitality extended by President Prabowo and reaffirmed Venezuela’s readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation.
“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, we reaffirm our commitment to further strengthening the bonds of fraternal cooperation for the benefit of both our governments and peoples,” he stated.
Representing the European Union, Ambassador Roberto Colaminè of the Republic of Italy emphasized the critical role of multilateralism in addressing global issues and highlighted that dialogue and collaboration between countries are the keys to creating stability and peace.
“Italy supports and share roles with Indonesia in addressing global challenges through international forums such as the United Nations, G20, and ASEAN,” Colaminè said.
Meanwhile, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil Rzayev Abil Oglu highlighted the close ties between the two countries despite geographical distance. He reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to expanding cooperation in various sectors.
“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, our partnership has been grounded in mutual respect and friendship. We look forward to holding the next round of political consultations in Baku this year,” he explained.
The ambassadors are committed to deepening cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, culture, education, and tourism, as part of efforts to strengthen mutually beneficial bilateral relations.
